Cala Millor
Mallorca
History
The origin of this Talaliotic area is clearly confirmed due to the amount of deposits and important samples that are preserved in the Talayots, including figures such as Pula. As might be expected, like the rest of the island, the lands were settled by the Romans and also by Muslims, but when Christianity entered a new stage, major changes were followed in the light of Agricultural techniques that the Arab world had contributed. Agriculture and livestock were the main sectors where the economy was initially the main site, and even today are still maintained, but are supplemented by the important benefits of the tourism sector. Currently, Cala Millor is one of major tourist areas of the island of Mallorca.
