Cabo de Gata: the last paradise
The Natural Park of Cabo de Gata situated in Almería is a splendid natural area which combines, plains, outstanding coves and mountain ranges of exceptional beauty. With an extensive and exclusive landscape unique in Spain, the natural park of Cano de Gata is the last paradise of the Mediterranean coast, one of the few virgen areas of the Iberian penisular you can still enjoy.
This is a perfect destination for hiking enthusiasts because not only do you have nearby the touristic areas with the best services and infrastructures of the Spanish coast but you also have numerous incomparably beautiful routes through some of Spain’s most diverse and historic scenery.
The image shown to the visitor is surprising because instead of the green foliage generally associated with a nature park, Cabo de Gato shines with earth tones, predominating the shades of yellow, rock grey and dark orange.
To discover this natural Spanish jewel, all you have to do is reserve a resort in El Toyo, with all the facilities and services for practising sports. There are various routes and numerous mountaineering clubs open to organising excursions for tourists and the best way to enjoy these is on foot although some are accessible by bicycle or off-road vehicles.
At Garden Hotels we have developed a special hiking service in Almeria, including some of the most atttactive routes for our guests, personalizing the tours and guiding them through the essential landmarks on a trip to Cabo de Gata.
