Majorca breathes magic in all its four corners. Yes, we already know, we have told you countless times in so many different ways. The island is a unique canvas full of beautiful colours that come together to form the incredible landscapes. And since we rarely get tired of telling you over and over again, let’s discuss it once more. Before the cold winter arrives and we must close our doors until the next holiday season in 2020, here at Garden Hotels we want to offer you this exclusive list with 7 day trips that will make you fall in love with Majorca in autumn! So put on a jacket and grab the camera because we’re starting right now.

Sa Foradada

One of the symbols of the island, without a doubt. By visiting Sa Foradada, you enter an impressive setting with Mediterranean highlights. The viewpoint of this natural work of art offers an impressive sunset that is one of the most beloved by locals and tourists who approach this small paradise from all parts of the island.

Bellver Castle

An obligatory stop during our visit to Palma. By visiting the Bellver Castle, you immerse yourself in the fascinating history of Majorca through an architectural jewel that, although it does not boast the most prosperous past, the truth is that its Gothic style and the impressive views over Palma and the Bay will truly capture your heart.

Train to Soller

A perfect activity to enjoy as a family while we discover the beautiful landscape of the island on a fun excursion from a picturesque wooden train that will leads you to the village of Soller. Departing from Palma, this little train featuring carriages of brass and mahogany will take you through a natural setting of incredible beauty perfect to know the most rural face of Majorca.

Granja de Esporles

One of the iconic parts of the Sierra de Tramuntana is the Granja de Esporles. Its origins date back to Roman times, where it served as a natural source of resources on the island. This “possessió” was the property of the Cistercian monks until the mid-fifteenth century, when it became a private house. Without a doubt, it is a trip to the past where we can learn how traditional rural crafts were carried out and how the taste of typical Majorcan products was created.

Sa Calobra

Two giant rocks that leads to the sea on this beautiful beach. One of the natural gems on the island that has played a key role in some of the most emblematic scenes of the cinema. An ideal afternoon at this beautiful setting on the shores of the Mediterranean.

A visit to Orient

Although it is not one of the most renowned villages, Orient is an excellent option for autumn. This tiny little town is located at the foot of the Castle of Alaró, and boasts two restaurants serving delicious and typical Majorcan food ideal such as, the delightful arrós brut.

Lluc

Our last stop will be made in this picturesque town, the welcoming pitstop of all hikers at the foot of some of Majorca’s most characteristic mountains including Puig de Massanella. This sanctuary, with its imposing stone walls, is a very attractive hotspot for tourists. In addition to containing some typical restaurants of Majorcan cuisine, you can also find a market for typical products really worth discovering in this town.
