The 23rd Garden Hotels Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca, which involved the participation of more than 150 cyclists from 24 countries, came to an end on Sunday 28 January. This 2024 edition has also been one of the most exciting for us, as it included women’s races for the first time and has allowed us to align even more two of the values we pursue: our bike-friendly spirit and our commitment to women’s sport.
The Palma Trophy was the finishing touch to eight days of intense cycling activity, with Mallorca becoming the capital of international cycling. A race that concluded with an exciting mass sprint, where Thijssem emerged as the fastest rider after five laps of the urban circuit around the Mallorcan capital. Before this, Challenge Mallorca paid tribute to Pere Canals Morro, tourism businessman and former president of the Federació de Ciclisme de les Illes Balears, who passed away in December.
