With a focus on creating better places to live, work and visit, the Travelife Gold Certified for Accommodation Sustainability awards this sustainable recognition to accommodations around the world taking into account 163 aspects which are in line with the criteria of the Global Council for Sustainable Tourism (GCST). At Garden Hotels we could not be more excited and satisfied that Nivia Born Boutique Hotel has been certified with this seal that guarantees sustainability, taking into account aspects such as its carbon emissions, biodiversity, compliance with human rights, labour rights, child protection and animal welfare.

Did you know that, since our beginnings in 1986, we have been pioneers in the circular economy with our actions to care for the environment as well as caring for those who work and care for the earth? That’s right, and we do it with the utmost attention to the products we offer you in our hotels, locally sourced and organic, in collaboration with Mallorcan suppliers. We also pay special attention to one of the planet’s most precious resources: we introduce you to our locally sourced filtered water system, packaged in glass, leaving aside single-use plastic, which you will find in our exclusive restaurant The Lounge. Likewise, the Mallorcan company Tot Herba, a pioneer in natural cosmetics in Spain, welcomes you to our rooms with its toiletries, whose dispensers are also returnable and refillable.
And of course, at Garden Hotels we also have the AENOR Circular Economy Strategy Certificate and the Best Sustainable Tourism Project according to the Tourism Innovation Awards 2021, which accredit our love and special protection of the planet.
