This is incredible news for cycling fans as the unforgettable race will once again include five trophies for this edition and will be the first professional race of the year on Spanish soil.
The International Cyclist Union has decided on the dates that the Mallorca Challenge 2022 competition will take place, being held over five days, starting on the 26th of January with the Calvia Trophy which finishes in Magaluf. The second day covers a route from Pollença to Port d’Andratx; the third stage is the Serra de Tramuntana Trophy, starting out in Lloseta on Thursday the 27th; the fourth stage is the Alcúdia Trophy from Alcudia to Port d’Alcúdia and finally the Playa de Palma to PalmaTrophy will bring the competition to a close on Sunday the 30th.
Port d’Alcúdia will be the logistical base for the athletes, with the Alcudia Garden Aparthotel and the Playa Garden Selection, situated in Puerto de Alcudia and in Playas de Muro respectively, are the official competition hotels. Both hotels have excellent Covid protocols in place, established by the appropriate health and sporting authorities.
