At Garden Hotels, we invite you to delight your senses at the 18th edition of the Fira de la Sípia, which will be held from 12 to 14 April in Port d’Alcúdia, Mallorca. This gastronomic event, one of the most eagerly awaited festivities on the island, will bring together more than 40 restaurateurs from the area offering culinary delights made with cuttlefish in its different presentations. For three days, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of flavours and textures, both in the marquee and in the participating restaurants. From traditional dishes to innovative creations, the Fira de la Sípia promises to satisfy the most demanding palates with this tasty and highly appreciated mollusc.
The Fira de la Sípia is much more than a gastronomic festival. In addition to enjoying exquisite delicacies, attendees will be able to participate in various activities and amusements for the whole family. From live music to nautical demonstrations, the programme of events guarantees fun and excitement for all tastes.
Fira de la Sípia 2024 Programme
On Friday 12th April, the official opening of the Fira will be accompanied by the III Sonada de Corns Marins, a tradition that marks the start of the Fira Nàutica and the Sípia. Meanwhile, in the marquee, attendees will be able to listen to live music and taste delicious cuttlefish dishes.
Saturday 13th April will be packed with activities, including a nautical fair with exhibitions and demonstrations by members of the Guardia Civil, children’s workshops and live music throughout the day. In the evening, the fun will continue in the main tent with musical performances that will thrill the audience.
Finally, on Sunday 14 April, the Fira will once again open its doors to offer a day full of entertainment, including nautical exhibitions, children’s workshops and a display of sea-related activities. In addition, the “A life dedicated to the sea” award will be presented as will the 4th Alcudiamar – Proyecte Home Balears Trophy, the latter for winning a charity regatta to benefit this important organisation.
