From 24 to 28 January, the cycling world awaits you, full of surprises with the eagerly awaited Garden Hotels Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2024. This year’s event, previously only for men, now includes a women’s competition, of which we can advance the first names at the head of the list. Read on to find out all the details.
None other than the Austrian Olympic champion, Anna Kiesenhofer, will lead the Israel Premier Tech-Roland, who will take part in the spectacular 2024 edition of the Garden Hotels Luxcom Women’s Cycling Challenge in Mallorca. A debut in style that will take place between 20 and 22 January and that will also feature the Mallorcan Mavi García, five-time Spanish long-distance running champion, who will be hosting the event. García will ride with the Spanish national team and will share the competition with the Balearic cyclists Yurani Blanco, who will lead the Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi team and in which the German resident in Mallorca, Aileen Scheweikart, will also ride, along with the the international pistard, Tania Calvo.
Some of the stars of world cycling who will ride through the mountains and valleys of Mallorca will include the Italian Silvia Persico with the UAE Team the South African Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, who, together with the Spanish Mireia Benito, will lead the AG Insurance Soudal-Quick Step. In addition, Sandra Alonso, together with the scratchand pursuit world champion, the Italian Martina Fidanza, will race with the Ceratizit-WNT. The only Spanish team in the top category, the Movistar Team, will be represented by the Norwegian Emma Norsgaard, as well as Lourdes Oyarbide, the Colombian Paula Patiño and the Cuban Arlenis Sierra.
The colossal sportswomen will start the cycling season in Mallorca in the Women’s Challenge, which will compete for three prizes: the Felanitx-Colonia de Sant Jordi Trophy, on Saturday 20 January; the Palma Trophy, on Sunday 21st January; and the Binissalem-Andratx Trophy, on Monday 22 January.
The first edition of the Garden Hotels Luxcom Women’s Cycling Challenge Mallorca 2024 will be the prelude to the 33rd edition of the men’s competition, which will take place between 24 and 28 January.
