We’ve done it again! For the sixth consecutive year the Playa Garden Selection Hotel & Spa has been awarded the TUI Umwelt Champion, making us one of the best sustainable hotels in Spain and amongst the 100 best at international level. Thank you!
Every day more of our guests are looking to spend their holidays at a hotel that has an impeccable environmental conscience. For this reason, TUI decided in 1996 to create this award to reward the so-called eco resorts, that is to say those hotels that do follow careful guidelines that respect and protect the environment. This is certainly the case of the Playa Garden Selection Hotel & Spa, as it already has several certificates that attest to its sustainability, such as the Travelife Guarantee.
Without doubt, this is a very important award as it recognises a quality policy, always respectful of the environment and, at the same time, the work of all the staff on a daily basis to protect and care for our environment. At Garden Hotels working for a more sustainable world is a fundamental part of our mission and one of the most important values held by the hotel chain. As a result different projects are undertaken throughout the season to remind us how to preserve the environment: beach clean-up at the Playa de Muro, activities and workshops dedicated to recycling and of course, the eco-friendly buffet at the hotel itself and the composting project which makes compost from the organic waste generated at the hotel, underway since last year.
For all these reasons, Garden Hotels accepts this prize as a reward for all the enthusiasm and hard work throughout the year, but the most important thing is that it serves as motivation for us to continue to work every day for a more sustainable environment. We would also like to congratulate every one of our employees for their hard work and dedication, as without them, none of this would be possible.
