February 28th is Andalusia Day and what better way to celebrate it than by inviting you to let yourself go and, with us, enjoy its warm essence. On the day of this autonomous community, we pay tribute to the identity, culture and heritage of this wonderful region.
Why 28 February? This date commemorates the 1980 referendum in which the Andalusian people voted in favour of full autonomy. A historic milestone that marked the path towards a sovereign Andalusia enriched by the cultural diversity of its 8 provinces: Almería, Granada, Málaga, Jaén, Córdoba, Seville, Cádiz and Huelva. Some fun facts:
- Andalusia is the second largest autonomous community in Spain and the first in terms of population.
- Flamenco, Sevillanas, tapas and fairs are just some of the cultural expressions that make Andalusia a must-see destination.
- The Doñana National Park, in Huelva, is one of the most important natural areas in Europe.
