We are delighted to announce that Garden Hotels are the sponsors of a new volleyball club that will surely give a lot to talk about: the Garden Hotels Mallorca Volleyball Club, who have a fantastic president and a team that we have already fallen in love with. Yes. That’s right. We are determined that the year 2020 will arrive filled with new challenges and projects that will help us to be better and to provide our guests with the best experiences. We strive to get fully involved with our clients and with the destinations you can find us in and, so for this reason, as well as promoting local produce and seasonal consumption in the Balearic Islands, we have also taken a step further by sponsoring the Garden Hotels Mallorca Volleyball Club. The Garden Hotels Mallorca Volley Club is a women’s volleyball club committed to the recognition of equality for women in sports, as usually there is less support for female participation, whilst sponsors are scarce. With this project we want to provide a new alternative for the players to provide them with the career sustainability as professionals that they deserve. The goal of the club is to start competing this year in the Insular Mallorca Balearic Women’s Second division and end the season in the First Regional division. Taking charge as technical director will be former professional player Maurizia Cacciatori, whilst former footballer, playing at clubs including RCD Mallorca and Deportivo La Coruña, Dou Dou Adouateas will be the club’s president. Damon Mark Menday, former director of operations of RCD Mallorca and current sports agent at Sport Players International, joins the line-up as executive president. The position of coach lies with Enrique Álvarez Ruiz, former player of the Spanish junior team. In a way, we are supporting a very ambitious initiative that aims to boost women’s sports on the islands, as well as offer the chance for volleyball players to continue to promote the Balearic sports as we have already done in other areas such as cycling, athletics and triathlon.
