Water parks in summer, theme parks and attractions all year round, excursions to the mountains or to the beach, environmental educational activities at farms, monuments to visit, discovering Palma on foot, or exploring the Mallorcan countryside, there are so many activities to choose from to enjoy a holiday with the kids.
There really is nothing better than an outing to get close to the exuberant nature of Mallorca so that the kids can burn off some of their energy and the whole family can have some fun. In the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, you’ll find an endless choice of straightforward signposted routes, such as the Ruta de Pedra en Sec (GR-221), that will allow you to see the characteristic stone constructions along the mountain range and the villages along the way: ice houses, ‘marges’ dry stone walls, cobbled pathways, stone dwellings… you’ll find them all as you walk these well-trodden paths, telling the story of times gone by on the island.
Would you prefer a walk along a beach with beautiful transparent waters? Mallorca has an endless list of them: in the Llevant area of the island, you have Cala Mesquida, Cala Millor or Sa Coma. Heading north you can visit Platja de Muro, Son Serra de Marina, Pollença, and Alcúdia, or if you are in the south, you shouldn’t miss the stunning beaches of Es Trenc or Ses Salines with kilometres of sandy beaches for the kids to enjoy and get maximum enjoyment out of their holiday.
So, the weather is great, and you fancy making a splash at one of the water parks, or checking out one of the theme parks and attractions? The island has plenty to offer you: Katmandu Park, Marineland Mallorca, Hidropark Alcúdia, Aqualand en El Arenal, Jungle Parc Mallorca, Western Water Park in Magaluf, Dinosaur Land in Manacor… You certainly won’t be bored!
You could also immerse yourself in nature at the Gardens of Alfàbia, in Bunyola, wander around the labyrinth of pathways, play areas, and surrounding woodland at Castell de Bellver, in Palma, or visit Econvinyassa, an environmental education estate in Sóller. Would you like to learn more about the most wonderful birds that really fascinate children, ostriches? All you need to do is visit the ostrich farm found in Campos. The ‘Camp d’Aprenentatge de Son Ferriol’ is an excellent place for the kids to practice their psychomotricity skills out in nature, meet the farm animals, and learn to love them from childhood onwards.
After all this activity, it is time to relax and recharge your batteries. At Garden Hoteles, we are waiting to welcome you with open arms at our family hotels with everything on hand to ensure you enjoy an unforgettable holiday that we hope will be your happiest ever!
