Even with emotions running high, we can only feel grateful for the privilege of having obtained this recognition for the Garden Hotels’ work and commitment to tourism innovation and sustainability. A task that we have been leading in the Balearic Islands since our origins, almost forty years ago, and which would not have been possible without the support of those of you who place your trust in us to look after you during your holidays.
After experiencing a very special gala on 27 September on the occasion of World Tourism Day, we are still very excited and happy. The whole Garden Hotels family is surprised and very grateful for this distinction: the ‘Premi del Turisme de les Illes Balears 2023’ for Circular FP. And for this we would like to thank you, especially the team of professionals who have worked on it and the participating organisations that have placed their trust in us: the Innovation Training Center; the Centre Integrat de Formació Professional (CIPF) Juníper Serra and the CIFP Río Tormes, as well as the Tourism Strategy Agency of the Balearic Islands (AETIB), which has awarded us this distinction for tourism innovation and circularity. And of course to those of you who choose us with whom to share something as personal and unique as your holidays. Each and every one of you is key to making this pioneering project -which combines education and tourism- a reality and a source of so much satisfaction for Garden Hotels. A path towards sustainability and innovation that we were able to see recognised in 2017 after receiving the award for our pioneering composting project in the Balearic Islands.
