Hello to all lovers of nature and sustainable adventures! At Garden Hotels, we are ready to celebrate World Earth Day on 22 April and we want to share with you a special part of our commitment to the environment: our project of composting kitchen scraps for organic farming.
At Garden Hotels, we have always been committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We want to offer you not only an unforgettable holiday, but also to contribute to a greener world. That is why we have launched an innovative composting action that transforms kitchen waste from our hotels into organic fertiliser for local agriculture.
The process is fascinating: our kitchen teams carefully separate the food scraps, which are then transported to the composting plant. There, they are combined with the pruning waste from our hotels in a specific proportion and mixed with the help of specialised machinery. Nature does the rest, completing the composting process and producing rich, nutritious compost.
But this is not the end of the story. The resulting compost is returned to the soil to fertilise new organic vegetable crops. And best of all, these fresh and healthy products are used to prepare the delicious menus that you enjoy during your stay at our hotels.
For us, this initiative goes beyond waste management. It is a way of closing the circle of the circular economy, revitalising local agriculture and promoting more responsible and conscious tourism.
Join the change
We know that sustainability is important to you, which is why we strive to communicate our actions in a transparent and accessible way. From our website and social networks to our hotels, we want you to feel part of this project and enjoy your holidays knowing that you are contributing to a better world.
Because we believe that sustainability is not just an option, but a shared responsibility, we continue to look for new ways to reduce our environmental impact and promote more sustainable tourism. Join us on this journey towards a greener future. Happy World Earth Day!
