This Mallorcan athlete from Sant Llorenç des Cardassar is ready to represent Spain at the Mountain Bike World Championships, which will take place in Cairns, Australia, on 19 May.

Cairns is Australia’s fourth largest international destination after Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Located in northeastern Australia, it is known for being home to the world’s largest barrier reef – more than 2,000 kilometres long, no less. The area where the competition will take place is a UNESCO protected territory, which highlights the importance of sustainability and environmental conservation, values that we strongly share at Garden Hotels.
The Cairns circuit offers unique challenges for cyclists, with varied terrain ranging from narrow trails to steep, technical sections. The natural beauty of the region, combined with the excitement of the competition, creates a truly unique atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Challenging limits
For Marga, this trip to Australia represents a new opportunity to take her passion for mountain biking to new heights. Her dedication and competitive spirit have taken her to the top of the podium on numerous occasions, including a bronze medal at the Sydney Olympics 24 years ago.
