As good news is best shared, today we are pleased to announce that Garden Hotels has been nominated for the prestigious World Sustainable Travel & Hospitality Awards 2024in the category of World Leading Sustainable Circular Economy Partnership. Or, in other words: we are one step away from being recognised as world leaders in sustainable circular economy on 27 September at a gala event in Belize. This nomination fills us with pride, not only because we are the only Spanish hotel chain to receive this honour, but also because it reinforces our ongoing commitment to sustainability and circular economy.

We are sustainable by nature
Over the years, we have implemented a number of pioneering initiatives that reflect our philosophy of sustainability:
- Waste management and composting: In collaboration with the Sa Teulera estate, we transform organic waste from our hotels into compost, which is then used in the production of organic food served in our restaurants.
- Reuse of materials: Projects such as the transformation of curtains into aprons in collaboration with the association Punts en Vida in Inca exemplify our commitment to the reuse of materials and the reduction of waste.
- Energy saving and use of renewable energies: We have incorporated renewable energy systems and resource-efficient technologies into all our properties to reduce our carbon footprint.
These are just some real examples of what we understand by sustainability in the tourism sector, something that has led to us receiving awards for our commitment to corporate social responsibility. We are now close to adding yet another recognition as a World Leading Sustainable Circular Economy Partnership, which highlights exceptional collaborations dedicated to promoting circular economy principles, improving resource efficiency and encouraging patterns of sustainable production and consumption. Being nominated in this category is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Garden Hotels team and our partners.
