We have great news! Europe has noticed how Garden Hotels works to promote sustainability and the circular economy in the tourism sector. So much so that the European Commission has invited us to participate in the “Transition Pathway for Tourism” event to explain our firm commitment to redefine tourism and, in particular, to highlight how we promote km0 products, waste management and the innovative circular VET programme.
Garden Hotels is proud to serve as an example on the floor of the European Parliament and that the actions that we develop in Mallorca are taken into account when creating future laws for the sector. That is why we are delighted to be invited by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), which in March 2024 celebrates the second anniversary of this “Transition Route for Tourism”.
An international decision-making forum in which we will explain, in a face-to-face session that can also be followed by streaming, our best practices in this area. “It is a recognition in global terms and an opportunity for our model to be replicated by other companies”, explains Gabriel Llobera, CEO of Garden Hotels. It also acts as a boost to pursue our work on new future lines that will enable us to continue developing the circular economy model beyond the present basis.
“Transition Pathway for Tourism” will reflect on the past, present and future of the tourism ecosystem and we at Garden Hotels hope to contribute to this process by supporting the ecological transition, in which we strongly believe. For all these reasons, we are very happy to be considered by Europe as a good example in this field and we invite you to follow this session, joining us on the rewarding path of creating a more sustainable tourism sector.
