This victory not only highlights Marga’s impressive career, but also underlines our commitment to supporting sport and sustainability.
On 19 May, Marga Fullana, the tireless cyclist from Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, was crowned world mountain bike champion in the cross country category, Masters 50-54. On the same continent where 24 years ago she won her historic bronze medal at the Sydney Olympics, Marga has shown that, at 52, she is still an unstoppable force in mountain biking.
The competition took place in a UNESCO protected territory, famous for being home to the world’s largest barrier reef, which reminds us of our responsibility to preserve the planet so that we can continue enjoying natural spaces like this one. This commitment is reflected in our various initiatives, such as the Renetas project and our composting programme, which promote the circular economy and waste reduction.
